Painting - Acrylic on Canvas - Bus Business

Zach has made his name for his fanciful depictions of African stories and traditions in oils in his signature style based on print-making techniques, but he also loves painting scenes from everyday African life in smaller pieces using acrylics. Here Zach tells us about this piece in acrylic on canvas entitled Bus Business, “This is inspired by the communal areas where we grew up. A bus would come to the countryside, the small towns where people meet and sell their sugar cane, vegetables, fruits. The business is centred around the bus because they are selling their wares to the commuters in the bus. Every time the bus comes people run to sell.”
